A celebration of life service for Mrs. Ila Mae Stroud will be held Wednesday, September, 10, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Trinity Baptist Church in Natchitoches, LA. Reverend Jim Winegeart and Reverend Ron Thompson will officiate the service. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home from 5 pm until 9 pm and on Wednesday from 10 am until service time at the church. Interment will be at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Montgomery, LA. Mrs. Ila Mae Stroud passed away peacefully on September 6, 2008. She was born in Sikes, La to the late Hardy and Julia Wise Johnson. She retired from Professional Home Health after many years of service. She is best known for being a seamstress for many in Natchitoches and Winnfield. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Martha McCaskill and her husband Herb, Julia Rowzee and her husband Charles; sons John Elbert Stroud and his wife Pat, Don Stroud and his wife Shirley, and Michael Stroud; sister, Inez LaCour; brother, Eugene Johnson and his wife Flo. She was blessed with 12 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elbert Stroud; and second husband Harvey Adams; sisters, Marie Davidson and Tiny LaCour; brothers, Huey Allen Johnson and Willie Johnson.
