Funeral service for James A. Morris will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church in Natchitoches, LA with Bro. Ray Wells officiating. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until the time of services on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church. James Morris, 86 years of age, passed away August 21, 2014 in Natchitoches, LA. James was born August 7, 1928 in Simsboro, LA . Mr. Morris was a retired welder who worked 20 years for Riley Beard of Shreveport, LA. He was also a long time member of Calvary Baptist church of Natchitoches, LA. Has was preceded in death by his wife Jeannene Talmadge Morris. He is survived by two sons, Mike and Jeff Morris of Shreveport, LA; two stepsons Jim Talmadge of Natchitoches, LA and Bobby Talmadge of Vera Beach, FL; three grandchildren, five great grandchildren and six step grandchildren. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Brad Vascocu, Paul White, Jim Bryant, Bobby Outlaw, Donald Hayward and Terry Williams. Honorary pallbearer will be John Rushing.
