Graveside services for Eric Christopher da Gama e Silva will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, August 25, 2014 at Nativity Catholic Cemetery in Campti, LA with Father George Pookkattu officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm with a recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm on August 24, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Eric Christopher daGama e Silva was born on May 18, 1980 and lived in Campti, Louisiana for all of his life. He was predeceased by his father, Ernesto daGama e Silva, and survived by his mother, LuGene daGama e Silva, of Campti, his brother, Matthew daGama e Silva of Dallas, Texas, and sister, Katelyn Elizabeth Cheatwood and her husband, Michael Cheatwood of Campti. Eric is also survived by his grandmother, Ruth Ann Franks, of Natchitoches, and his aunt, Deneen Cuba and her husband, Robert Cuba, of Denver, Colorado, and his uncles, Mathias J. daGama e Silva of Campti, and Jeffrey Lynn Franks of Texas. Eric left behind many cousins and so many friends that he made while in school and working in the Campti and Natchitoches areas. Eric loved doing things for others whenever he could and never hesitated when someone needed assistance. He was a very thoughtful and loving young man in his family's eyes and has left behind many heavy hearts. He will be truly missed for his array of abilities, whether it was working with automobiles or fixing anything related to computers and technology.
