Harold Robert "Skeeter" Holt

Funeral service for Harold Robert Holt will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, September 1, 2014 at Family Worship Center in Campti, LA with Rev. Josh Sampay officiating. Interment will follow at Black Lake Full Gospel Cemetery in Campti, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on August 31, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Harold “Skeeter” Holt, 53 years of age, passed away August 30, 2014. He was born September 24, 1960 in Savannah, GA. Skeeter was full of life and always lit up the room wherever he was. He loved listening to classic rock music, playing pool, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a hard worker, earning a living as a welder to provide for his family. He loved to make people laugh, and he loved his family most of all. He was a great father and a caring husband. He will be missed by all who knew him. He was survived by his wife, Charlotte Gallien Holt of Campti, LA; two sons, Joshua Cody Holt of Gray, GA and Joseph Cory Holt and fiancé, Michelle Russell of Castor, LA; one grandson, Matthew Clifton Russell; one step-grandson Mack Russell; one brother, Alvin Otto Holt, Jr. of Campti, LA; two sister-in-laws, Sandra Shaffer and husband Chuck and Mary Gallien; one brother-in-law, David L. Gallien; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin Otto Holt, Sr. and Dorothy Ilene Holt; and his close friend, Roy Barns. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Cory Holt, Jr. Holt, Chris Vanzant, Joey Shaffer, David L. Gallien, and David C. Gallien. Oz "Unk" Blake will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
