JAMES 'WAYNE' POCHE'
Memorial services for James "Wayne" Poche', 61, will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 14 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Powhatan with Norm Fletcher delivering the eulogy.
Wayne was born March 6, 1947, in Natchitoches and passed away Sept. 8, 2008, in Shreveport.
He was an alumnus of St. Mary's and served in the U.S. Navy. He retired in 2006 from PPG Auto Glass Division as a Senior Sales Representative.
Wayne was a charter member of the Krewe of Dionysos and served as float lieutenant for the Parrotheads for five years. His love of duck hunting was a passion he shared with his friends and his son, Joey, at the Limit Our Duck Club in Jigger.
Wayne is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Wanda Poche' of Natchitoches; parents, Elmo and Betty Poche' of Natchitoches; four sons, Joey Poche' of Pairieville, Pat Poche' of Dubach, Shannon Harris of Bossier City and Jim Poche' of Natchitoches; brother, Ronnie Poche' of Natchitoches; sister, Carolyn Pleasant of Marthaville; grandson, Ashton Poche' of Tullos; granddaughter, Kalea Harris of Bossier City; and two very special pets, Jennie and Jake.
Wayne and his family wish to give special thanks to his future daughter-in-law Emily Deblieux and Wanda's sister Claudia Chelette for their endless love and devotion to him during his illness.
