Martha Jean LaCaze

Funeral services for Martha Jean LaCaze will be held at 10 am on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Minor Baslica of the Immaculate Conception in Natchitoches, LA with Fr. Carson LaCaze officiating. Interment will follow at Beulah Cemetery in Marthaville, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a recitation on the rosary at 7:00 pm on September 5, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Martha LaCaze, 81 years of age, passed away September 4, 2014. She was born February 16, 1933 in Allen, LA. Martha was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a compassionate and kind person, a devout Catholic, and prayed the Rosary every day. She was a longtime member of Minor Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where she attended faithfully and was a former member of the choir. She loved to garden and raise flowers, and was an avid Northwestern State University football fan. She had a great sense of humor, and always lit up the room wherever she was. She enjoyed cooking, and no one ever left her table hungry. She was an outgoing and sweet lady that was devoted to God and her family, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband, Levy LaCaze of Natchitoches, LA; her children, Pam Cox of Ft. Worth, TX, Brenda Curran and husband Danny of Ft. Myres, FL, Gary Rigsby and wife Donna of Olive Branch, MS, Brenda Froisy and husband Francis of St. Amant, LA, Michelle Goudeau and husband Jeff of Lake Charles, LA, and Dennis LaCaze and wife Peggy of Shreveport, LA; eleven grandchildren, Kristie Fields, Susan Taylor, Shane Curran, Blake Curran, Amanda Corace, Terrell Dodd, Ryan McAlexander, Beth Mazoch, Danielle Heffer, Timothy Heffer, and Taylor Goudeau; eleven great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Flores and husband Norbert of Shreveport, LA and Marie Solice of Houston, TX. She was preceded in death by her first husband, D.C. Rigsby; her parents, Johnny Corrales and Flora Lee Irvin Corrales; and three brothers, Tilman Corrales, Marvin Corrales, and James Corrales.
