Thelma Ann (Foshee) Pitts

Funeral Services celebrating the life of Thelma Ann Pitts will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at New Cedron Missionary Baptist Church. ,Vowells Mill, LA, with Justin Coburn and David Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow at New Cedron Cemetery in Vowells Mill, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm on Tuesday, September 16th at New Cedron Missionary Baptist Church. Thelma passed away at her residence Monday, September, 15, 2014 at 10:44 a.m. with her family beside her bed. Thelma was born to Monroe Franklin and Bessie Fee Holland Foshee at Vowells Mill, LA on December 26, 1927. She was preceded in death by her husband Park Caldwell Pitts; her parents Monroe Franklin and Bessie Holland Foshee; sisters, Opal Penrod, Yovonne Slaughter, Sybil Slaughter; brothers, Dennis Foshee and Travis Foshee. She is survived by one brother Nolan O. Foshee and wife Gladys of Baytown, Texas and one sister, Etoile Jones of Natchitoches, LA; three children, Harold Pitts and wife Kathy, Jeannie Wilson and husband Claude and Edith Breedlove and husband Mike all of Vowells Mill; five grandchildren Kristina LeMoine and husband Tracey, Becky Lloyd and husband James, Wendell Bridges and wife Heather, Jonathan Wilson and wife Angie, and Shelley Townson and husband Jeff; nine great grandchildren, Kaitlyn LeMoine, Mallerie Townson, Jeffrey Townson, Dillion Townson, Brooklyn Townson, Carson Bridges, Cooper Bridges, Jacob Wilson and Tanner Lloyd; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Thelma was a member of New Cedron Missionary Baptist Church. The family would like to give special thanks to a special family friend, Kelly McReynolds and to the Harmony Home Health nurses and Legacy Hospice.
