Funeral Services for Mr. Frank A. Parchim, Jr. will be Wednesday, September 25, 2008 at 7:00 pm in Chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Pastor John Karle will officiate the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 pm until service time Wednesday evening. Interment will follow a service in Wisconsin at Highland Memorial Cemetery in New Berlin, WI. With a song on his lips, Frank went into God’s open arms Sunday, September 21, 2008. If anyone had a moment to listen, Frank was happy to share one or more of his songs with them. Outside of his wife of 68 years, Mildred, and his family, singing was truly the joy of his life. His wife was the inspiration for some of the songs he composed. He was very proud of his work record of 45 years at Cutler-Hammer/Eaton Corporation as he never missed one day during that time. He was an extraordinary machinist and his workmanship was so precise it never had to be tested. He never had to scrap any of his projects. Frank definitely leaves behind a proud legacy for his family to always remember. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Mildred Parchim; two sons, Nyle Parchim and his wife Elizabeth and Robert Parchim and his wife Carolyn; two daughters, Caroll Ann Otto and her husband Ken and Lynette Stephanson and her husband Craig; three sisters; and very blessed with seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four great, great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Parchim, Sr. and Mathilda Borkenhagen Parchim; two sisters, one brother, a granddaughter and a great-grandson. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to: Dr. Barnum, Susan Massia, Meg Fitzhugh, Staff at Natchitoches Nursing and Rehabilitation, Harmony Home Health, Julia Evans, Annette Young, Claire Henry, Dr. Sullivan, Staff at Natchitoches Regional Medical Center E.R., Tracy Bishop, Katina Pikes, Beverly Beaver, Billy Morales, Pastor John Karle and Pastor Stan Hanna for their care and compassion for Mr. Parchim. Memorials in Mr. Parchim’s name may be made to Christ The King Luther Church of Natchitoches.
