Sue Vascocu Blanchard

Funeral services for Sue Vascocu Blanchard will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Trinity Baptist Church in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Joshua Currie officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on September 22, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Sue Blanchard, 64 years of age, passed away September 20, 2014. She was born August 24, 1950 in Natchitoches, LA. She was a loving wife and mother, and a dedicated member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Natchitoches, LA. She is survived by her loving husband, R. L. Blanchard of Natchitoches, LA; her children, David Gray, Charlene Blanchard, and Cleve Blanchard; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; three siblings, Gwen Banes, Evelyn Bennett, and Ronnie Vascocu; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and her canine grand-dog, Bismarck. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Ura Vascocu; and her sister, Faye Vascocu Greer. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Hospice of Natchitoches, the Highland Hospital doctors and nursing staff, Medistar Home Health, and all of her wonderful friends. They would like to offer a special thanks to Pastor Josh Currie of Trinity Baptist Church for his comforting visitations throughout her battle with breast cancer.
