William Henry Palmatary, age 67, of Natchitoches, La., died Sunday, September 28, 2008, at his lake house at the Toledo Bend Reservoir. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, La., where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, October 3, 2008. A rosary will be held at 7:00 PM during the visitation. The funeral service will be at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 4, 2008, with Rev. James Foster officiating. Interment will be at American Cemetery in Natchitoches, La.
Mr. William loved to fish and spend time on the water. He was very successful in his career, was a great baseball player, a great baseball coach, and a loyal family man. He loved his family more than anything. He graduated from Georgia Tech. with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He retired after 38 years of service at H.B. Fuller Company in St. Paul, MN. He was a good hearted man, a great husband, a great father, and great grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Palmatary and Alice Schneider Palmatary.
He is survived by his wife Judith Kay Palmatary; one daughter, Eden Fields and husband Jeff of Hillsborough, N.C.; one son, Bill Palmatary of Hilliard, Ohio; one sister, Barbara Zuckek and husband Dan of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren; Dr. Melanie Fields, M.D. of Saint Louis, MO
and Grace Elizabeth Palmatary of Hilliard, OH; one aunt, Eleanor Jurich of Media, PA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
