Robert Alvin Schadler died on October 7, 2014 in Natchitoches, LA after a brief illness at the age of 89. Bobby was born on June 4, 1925 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Alvin J. Schadler and Dorothy J. Hunter Schadler. He was a World War II Veteran having served his country in the United States Army. He was in the 102nd Infantry Division. He was honored to receive the Bronze Star Medal with one cluster, American Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, EAME Theater Ribbon with 3 Bronze Stars and the World War II Victory Medal.
Bobby worked in the Restaurant Business and later in the Finance industry as a Loan Originator. He loved to bowl and was an avid reader. He liked to fish with his brother in law, Ed Todtenbier. He was respected by his friends and family. He lived in New Port Richey, Florida prior to moving to Louisiana.
Bobby is survived by his wife Betty Schadler, son Neal Schadler, daughter Robin Schadler, and step-daughter Deborah Lake. He is survived by his granchildren Brandon Schadler, Leslie Monterrosa, Jennifer Gardner, and Ashley Burrington. He is survived by his great granchildren Joshua Monterrosa and Ava Gardner. He is survived by his sister Marjory Todtenbier. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother John Allen Schadler.
He will be missed very much. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
