Funeral services for Samuel “Sammy” Gallien will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Father Ryan Humphries officiating. Interment will follow at Fern Park Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm on November 13, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Samuel Gallien, 67 years of age, passed away November 8, 2014 in Pineville, LA. Sammy was born March 12, 1947 in Cloutierville, LA. He was a native of Natchitoches, LA, where he graduated from Natchitoches High and attended Northwestern State College. He dedicated twelve years of his life in serving our nation in the United States Air Force. He was very likable and outgoing, and always enjoyed watching the New Orleans Saints play football. He will be dearly missed. He is survived by his son, Jeffery John Gallien of San Antonio, TX; four grandchildren, Tyler Gallien, Dyson Gallien, Hunter Gallien, and Elizabeth Gallien; one sister, Anna Kimball and her husband James of Pineville, LA; two nieces, Nancy Simoneaux and husband Steven and Alicia Carpenter and husband Brian; and three nephews, Steven Kimball and wife Kyla, Jimmy Kimball and wife Emily, and Courtney Gillen and wife Rhonda. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland Gallien and Ida Kerry Gallien; and one brother, John Gillen.
