Funeral services for Pencie Irene Blake Rhymes will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, November 24, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Bro. Jason Womack officiating. Interment will follow at Yankee Springs Cemetery in Goldonna, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on November 24, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Pencie Rhymes, 86 years of age, passed away November 22, 2014. She was born October 12, 1928 in Goldonna, LA. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She found comfort in living a simple life, and was very easy going. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her son, Jerry Rhymes and his wife Edna of Goldonna, LA; her grandchildren, Christy Rhymes Davis and husband Duston, Michele Roberts, and Amy Roberts; her great grandchildren, Jace Tyler Stewart, Harlee LaMartiniere, Brody LaMartiniere, Sheyenne Roberts, and Micah White; and one brother, Osbon Blake and wife Mary of Spring, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, L.V. Rhymes; and her parents, James Osbon Blake and Emma Sauce Blake. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Gary Maines, James Rorrer, Walton Monroe, Doyle Smith, Jamie Rhymes, and Lanny Blake.
