Funeral services for Sonya Leola Desadier Campbell will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Isadore Davis officiating. Interment will follow at St. Anne's Catholic Cemetery in Spanish Lake Community, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on November 28, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Sonya Campbell, 56 years of age, passed away November 24, 2014. Sonya was born November 16, 1958 in Eureka, CA. She was raised by Pearl and Chief Etie of Natchitoches as well as her grandparents, Johnnie and Leola Davis of Spanish Lake, LA. She was a loving and hard working lady. She loved to fish and spend time outdoors. Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren, and enjoyed spending as much time with them as they could. She loved to help people in any was that she could. She was a kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her three children, Jonathan Garcie and wife Jessica of Natchitoches, LA, Chad Garcie and his girlfriend, Susan Hardy of Shreveport, LA, and Heidi Garcie Clark of Robeline, LA; four step-children, Troy Campbell and wife Jody of Stonewall, LA, Amanda Campbell of Stonewall, LA, Wendy Campbell of Slidell, LA, and Kenneth Campbell of Colorado; she was blessed with fourteen grandchildren, Skylar Garcie, Sommer and Gabe Clark, Ethan (Peter) Garcie, Jenna and Joshua Garcie, Baleigh Campbell, Peyton and Lauren Jackson, Candance and Hunter Meyers, Cade Keel, and James and Joel Manusa; her birth parents, Melvin Jones and Nell Davis; seven brothers, Melvin (Bexter) Jones and wife Chuckie of Cedar Park, TX, Rex Jones and wife Debbie of Neadville, TX, Chuck Severance and wife Cindy of Ringgold, LA, Tim Severance of Boerne, TX, Raymond Barbo of Boerne, TX, and John Barbo of Boerne, TX; five sisters, Tina Kazen and husband Jim of Boerne, TX, Donna Rosenbaum and husband David of Neadville, TX, Jill Strickland of Many, LA, Shaunda Jones of Neadville, TX, Debbie Neitte and husband Ernest of Natchitoches, LA; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Campbell; her father who raised her, Chief Etie; and her brothers, James Severance and David Barbo. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Charles French, Jr., Mike Davis, Chris Davis, Roy Bass, Leon Davis, Jr., and Ricky LaCaze. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Davis, Charles French, Isadore Davis, Leon Davis, Sr., and Mike Wilkerson.
