Myrna Cooper Dove

A service to honor the life of Mrs. Myrna Cooper Dove will be 1 pm Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in the chapel of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery near Hagewood, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Monday, December 1, 2014 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Myrna, 95 years of age, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2014 in Natchitoches, LA. She was born March 4, 1919 in Natchitoches, LA to Ambrose and Lurline Elizabeth (Ellzey) Martin. She was a long time member of Trinity Baptist Church. Myrna held the most commendable job; she was a homemaker who took care of her family’s needs first and foremost. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Susan Cooper Cade and her husband Sam of Prosper, TX, Donna Cooper Germany and her husband Gene of Aledo, TX, and Melanie Cooper McGill and her husband Bob of Natchitoches; sons, Bobby Leon Cooper, Jr. and his wife Peggy of Campti and Michael Wayne Cooper and his wife Pat of Alexandria. She was blessed with sixteen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Bobby Leon Cooper, Sr. and her second husband, Roy Lee Dove; her infant daughter, Jacquelin Cooper; her sisters, Ruth Osborn, Mattie Gibbs, and Elizabeth Fisher; her brothers, Otho Martin, Obed Martin, and Oren Martin; as well as a grandson, Sean Eric McGill.
