Penelope Anne Bolton age 42, passed away in her home on December 4, 2014 after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Penny was born on April 30, 1972 in Natchitoches Parish Hospital. She was a life time resident of Natchitoches and a Northwestern State University alumna. Penny was an educator for seventeen years in Natchitoches Parish, touching the lives of all her beloved students. She was named teacher of the year for Natchitoches Parish in 2003 as well as an active member of Alpha Delta Kappa. Penny was also a life long member of Grand Ecore Road Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School and directed Vacation Bible School. Penny also shared the gospel while doing mission work with young children.
Survivors include her mother, Freddie Mae Martin Bolton, her brother Barry (Buddy) and wife, Debra Bolton, her nieces, Nikki Bolton, Misty Dees- husband JL Dees, and her great nephew, Chandler Dees. Penny was preceded in death by her father, Larry Bolton, sister, Tara Elizabeth Bolton, paternal grandparents, L.E. and Leona Bolton, and maternal grandparents, Sam and Estelle Martin.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home on Sunday, December 7, 2014. The funeral services will be held at the Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home on Monday, December 8, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be at Flatwoods Cemetery in Rapides Parish.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Boyt, Jonathan Evans, Scott Coon, Joseph Evans, Michael Rachal, Randy Martin, and Benjamin Evans. Honorary Pall Bearers are Chandler Dees, Troy Rials, Trevor Rials, Wade Elliot, Keegan Coon, and Kellen Coon.
