Ms. Ebert, 60, of Zwolle, LA, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014, at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria, LA. She was born on a cold November day on the ninth of 1954 to her parents, George Ebert and Eva Ebert. She loved and was full of life. She loved all sorts of animals, but tigers where her favorite. She never met a stranger, and always made people feel comfortable around her. She taught her children to always be polite and treat others with respect, to use the words Yes Sir and Mam, and never be rude to anyone. She could fish all day long and catch them all day long. Bass fishing was her favorite. When she put her mind do doing something, like dancing, playing pool, cards, or darts, you had better bring your game, because she was hard to beat. She could make a professional feel like an amateur. There wasn’t anything she couldn’t do.
She had a wonderful ability to make each of her children feel like they were all the most special one. She never gave one child something that she didn’t give equally to the others, and she showed her love for them the same way, equally. She instilled in her children at a young age to love God with all of their heart. She taught them in Sunday school class. One particular Christmas, she made them their own beautiful costumes for a play, and that is something that will always be cherished by them. She was just like a kid at heart, and would always make the kids friends feel like they were hers as well. She left a large vacancy in the hearts of her family, for she was their world, their best friend and confidant, and there was nothing that she wouldn’t do for them. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and to know her was to love her. We will see you soon.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eva Jowers and George Ebert; brothers, Clyde Ebert and Randall “Buddy” Ebert; and the father of her children, David Withers, Sr.
She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Fransine Gentry and husband Lloyd Gentry of Zwolle, LA; two sons, David Withers, Jr. and his wife Kristi Withers of Hagewood, LA and Jamie Paul Withers and his wife Brittany of Robeline, LA; one sister, Oneitha Hernandez and her husband Kenneth of Natchitoches, La; three brothers, Denver Ebert of Frierson, LA; Raymond Ebert of Winnfield, LA; Roy Gene Ebert and wife Linda Ebert of South Carolina; and her grandchildren, Lloyd Gentry Jr., Destyni Lashae Paddie, Velicity Jai Withers, and Presley Ann Withers.
