Funeral services for Lynne Dee Dowden Weaver will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, December 29, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. Lee Dickson officiating. Interment will follow at Kisatchie Cemetery in Kisatchie, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on December 28, 2014 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Lynne, 55 years of age, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014 in Natchitoches, LA. She was born on August 04, 1959 in Natchitoches, LA. Also known as "Mama " Lynne, she was as loving and compassionate of a lady as you would find anywhere. She adopted most all of her sons friends as her own, and a mama to them for as long as she has known them. She could find the good in anything and anyone, was always smiling, and would do anything for anybody. She always put the needs of others first, and herself last. She never met a stranger, and she not only adopted Will’s friends but would adopt any animal that came by her. She was a big time animal lover, as well as her plants, flowers, hummingbirds, and butterflies. When she was able she had beautiful flowers everywhere you looked. She had the ability for turning nothing into something. She never had much, as far as material things were concerned, but she never let her family go without anything they needed and always strived to make sure Will had the best of everything. She was a miracle worker. She will be missed so much, but knowing she’s in Heaven looking after us brings us great peace She is survived by her son, Will Weaver and his wife Kathleen Laske of Lake Charles, LA; her father, Glenn Dowden of Provencal, LA; her sisters, Joy Dowden Cockrum of Natchitoches, LA, Donna Dowden Hernandez and husband Jerry of Natchitoches, LA, Mary Dowden Yocum of Powhatan, LA, and Kristie Kay Dowden of Provencal, LA; her brother, Don Dowden and wife Elizabeth of Kisatchie, LA; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and Will's and her beloved dogs, "Lil Girl" and "Cooper". She loved her dogs. Besides Randy and Will, her dogs were her world. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Randolph "Randy" Weaver; and her mother Nella Faye Babb Dowden.
