Ollie “Jean” Estes, 88 years of age, was born August 23, 1926 in Union County, TN and passed away February 4, 2015 in Natchitoches, LA. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a great mammaw and a trusting friend. She has also been described as a “Feisty little lady with some crazy kids!” She was so proud of her children and grandchildren – you could always see the pride on her face. She loved life, loved to travel, never missed her daytime soap operas, and loved country music; especially Keith Urban. She loved spending countless hours playing Rook and Yahtzee. She was very easy going and her sweet disposition will always stand out in the minds of those who met her. Her loving kindness will be remembered by all. She had a lifetime overflowing with love and happiness. She was a member at Provencal First Baptist Church and she loved the Lord. We adored her and have so many beautiful memories over the years. A huge hole has been left in our hearts; but it is bittersweet, as 88 years of life cannot begin to compare to what lies in wait at Heavens gates. She is survived by her two sons, Robert "Bob" Allen Estes and wife Kay of Toxey, AL and Terry Lynn Estes and wife Pat of Paragon, IN; three daughters, Janice Maples and husband Phillip of Nashville, TN, Pat Herron and husband Billy of Knoxville, TN, and Sharon O'Bannon and husband Randy of Natchitoches, LA; twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bud" Blaine Estes; two grandsons, Robert Brian Estes and Keith Schroeder; her parents, H.A. Weaver and Cora Lee Brewer Weaver; three sisters, Elizabeth McCall, Grace Payne, Cecil Hale, and Janice "Goldie" Weaver; and two brothers, Earnest Weaver and Lon Weaver.
