Funeral services for Nora Mae Bolton will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Provencal United Pentecostal Church in Provencal, LA with Rev. Paul Grace and Rev. Cecil Boswell officiating. Interment will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Bellwood, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on February 17, 2015 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA, and on Wednesday from 10:00 am until service time at the church.
Nora Bolton, 94 years of age, passed away February 14, 2015. She was born December 13, 1920 in Bellwood, LA. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and wonderful grandmother, great grandmother, and loving friend. She was always proud of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and her face would always show it. Nora loved spending countless hours sewing, quilting, and gardening. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church of Provencal since 1972. She loved the Lord and loved her church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband of 78 years, William Ernest Bolton of Provencal, LA; her three sons, Lester Bolton and his wife Rosie of Goldonna, LA, Dudley Bolton and wife Melinda of Provencal, LA, and Rush Bolton and wife Jackie of Boyce, LA; four grandsons, Shelby Bolton and wife Marcia of Natchitoches, LA, Kevin Bolton and wife Janice of Natchitoches, LA, Shannon Bolton and fiance' Tiffany of Provencal, LA, and B.J. Bennet of Provencal, LA; three granddaughters, Dawn Gandy and husband Ray of Provencal, LA, Bridgette Birdwell and husband Hal of Marthaville, LA, and Elizabeth Webb and husband Jonathan of Milton, FL; eight great grandchildren, Dayton Woods, Kara Gandy, Evan Gandy, Zachary Birdwell, Skylar Bolton, Ella Jones, Maegan Bolton, and Waylon Bolton; one brother, Merlin Frantom of Shreveport, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James Frantom and Hattie Simmons Frantom; one sister; and four brothers.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Shelby Bolton, Kevin Bolton, Shannon Bolton, Ray Gandy, Hal Birdwell, Freddy Sparks, Jonathan Webb, B.J. Bennett, and Billy Lewis
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Provencal Christian Academy.
