Nolan Ross Gamble

Nolan Ross Gamble, age 82, a resident of Marthaville, LA passed away on Monday, February 16, at Community Care Center in Natchitoches, LA. A Masonic Graveside Service will be held at the Beulah United Methodist Cemetery in Marthaville at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 21. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. prior to the service in the Beulah United Methodist Church Sanctuary. Mr. Gamble was born June 2, 1932 in Marthaville to the union of the late Henry Ross Gamble and Rommeiss Durr Gamble. He was preceded in death by his brother, Circe Travis Gamble. Mr. Gamble attended Diesel Mechanic School worked as an electrician and repairman for electrical appliances. He, also, worked at Nabor's Trailers for many years. He was very active in the Louisiana Masonic Lodge where held perpetual membership in 12 lodges . He was, also, active in Eastern Star, where he held membership in two chapters. Mr. Gamble held membership in numerous Masonic Appendant Bodies. He leaves behind his brothers: Irby Gamble, West Monroe, LA; Henry Gamble, Oro Valley, AZ; his sisters: Carolyn Lee, West Union, SC, and Kathleen Boswell, Bullard, TX. He, also, leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff of Community Care Center and Natchitoches Hospice for the the loving care they gave to him during his stay with them. Anyone wishing to make a donation in his memory, please do so to the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital, where Mr Gamble was a patient as a child suffering from Infantile Paralysis.
