Alton "Pic" Bowers

On February 17, 2015 our Lord Savior Jesus Christ called his servant Alton Ray Bower Sr. home. Visitation services for Alton Ray Bowers will be held at 10:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, Feburary 21, 2015 at Blanchard – St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Alton Ray Bowers was born May 9, 1956 to Daizy Mae Bowers and JW Washington in Natchitoches, LA. He was known to family and friends as “Pic”. He attended Natchitoches Central High School, and left school in 1973. He was then employed by Brookshires. He later meet, and married the love of his life Della Rose Metoyer. To that union was born Alton Ray Bowers Jr. “AJ”, Emile II, and Stephen Metoyer. He is survived by his loving wife Della Rose Metoyer-Bowers; his sons, Emile Metoyer II, and Alton Ray Bowers Jr. “AJ”; Grandchildren, Emile III, Ethan E., and Elias E; his mother, Daisy Mae Bowers; his mother-in-law, Rose LaCour; his father-in-law, Paul LaCour Sr.; his brother-in-law, Paul LaCour Jr. “Spud”; his sister-in-law, Jackie and husband Keith Monette; his brothers, Marion LaCour and wife Angelette LaCour, Ronald Bowers; his sisters, Cythia LaCour, Shelia Johnson and husband Perry Joe Johnson Sr., Felicea Stephenson, Alexis Smith and husband Terry Smith Sr., Donna Bowers, and Mary Bowers. He is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. Preceding him in death by his father, JW Washington; his step-father, Marion LaCour; his step-son, Stephen Orlando Metoyer “Baby”.
