Barbara, 74 years of age, was born July 02, 1940 and passed away February 26, 2015 in Robeline, LA. Known as "Granny" to nearly everyone who knew her, Barbara always made everyone feel welcome in her home. Cherished memories were created over the Sunday dinners and celebrations she had prepared. Barbara found much joy in her grandchildren and great grandchildren and she never let an opportunity pass to let them know how special they were. Barbara could often be found reading a book or chatting with friends on her porch swing, crocheting and quilting in her chair, or cooking in her kitchen. Barbara was lucky enough to marry the love of her life at the age of 17 and was blessed with five children to whom she was deeply devoted. Three generations of family have witnessed her grace, class, strength and wisdom all because she kissed her "Frog." She is survived by her children, Diana Floyd Laroux, Patty Floyd, and Frances Floyd Walker and her husband James, all of Robeline, LA; seven grandchildren, Amanda Allbritton Brady and husband Sean of Covington, LA, Adam Greer and wife Kayla of Robeline, LA, Maggie Durr and husband Joshua of Robeline, LA, Shaye Walker Campbell and husband Linnie of Pleasant Hill LA, Raleigh Walker and wife Brittany of Ajax, LA, Jim Walker of Robeline, LA and Adrianna Walker of Robeline, LA; thirteen great grandchildren, and one nephew, Robert Barnhill and wife Kelly of Haughton, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Eugene “Frog” Floyd, Sr.; her parents, Adrian Barnhill and Versie Rea Sanders Barnhill; her son, Raymond Eugene “Randy” Floyd, Jr.; her daughter, Phyllis Floyd Allbritton; her grandchildren, Justin Allbritton and Daniel Laroux; and one brother, Richard Barnhill. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to St. Mary's Residental Training School in Boyce, Louisiana (P.O. Drawer 7768, Alexandria, LA 71306).
