Johnnie Lee (Floyd) Gorham

Funeral service for Mrs. Johnnie Lee Floyd Gorham will be at 2 pm Monday, April 6, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Robeline, LA. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery in Robeline. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Mrs. Gorham, 81 years of age, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. She was born in Robeline to Johnnie Franklin Floyd and Bessie Lee Woodel Floyd. She retired from the Caddo Parish School System after serving many years as a bus driver. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, Ernest Colston, Sr.; Son, Tommy Ernest (Worm) Colston, Jr.; sister, Shirley Floyd Broadway; in-laws, Hilton and Estelle Gorham; son in law, Elton Floyd Jenkins; brother in law, Chester W. Gibson, and nephews, Shannon Wayne Gibson and Timothy Wade Floyd. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jack Gorham of Shreveport, daughters, Cynthia King of Shreveport and Gilda Jenkins of Robeline; siblings, Dottie Jenkins and her husband Jack of Houston, TX, Theresa Gibson of Natchitoches, Jim Floyd and his wife Shirley of Natchitoches, Tommy Floyd and his wife Diane of Natchitoches and Kathy Warren and her husband Danny of Provencal. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren, Jessica Daniels of Robeline, Johnnie Jenkins of Robeline, Joshua Jenkins and his wife Charie of Natchitoches, Destiny Downs and her husband Paul of Shreveport, Dustin King and his wife Khristen of Oil City, Tommy Colston and his wife Jennifer of Baton Rouge and Krystal Long and her husband Dusty of Hineston; as well as 12 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Johnnie Jenkins, Dustin King, Joshua Jenkins, Christian Gaspard, Zachary Gaspard, Drew Gibson, Jason Warren, and Marvin Davis. The family wanted to extend their appreciation to so many that provided care including: Mr. Chris Bihm; the staff of the Guest House, especially, Lisa, Jessica, Tiffany, Jessica, Dale, Trina, Melissa, Pam, Caroline, Theresa, Tara, Selena, Anthony, and Penny; Dr. Teagle and the staff of Gamble Hospice Care.
