Heaven became a little sweeter today as Yvonne Evelyn Phillips (Granny) was welcomed home!
Yvonne Evelyn Phillips was born on December 29, 1928 in Provencal, LA and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 3, 2015.
Visitation will be at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA on Sunday, April 5, 2015 from 5 – 9 PM. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 6, 2016 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home at 1:00 PM with Rev. James Burns and Dr. Roy Cook officiating. Burial will be held immediately following the service at the New Kisatchie Cemetery in Kisatchie, LA. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the charity of your choice.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Jacob Johnson, Albert Poston, Mark Cole, Phillip Cole, Trey Carney and James Carney. Honorary pallbearers will be Kiley Phillips, III and Robert Nichols.
She was preceded in death by her parents Kelly & Emma Moss, one infant son, husbands Robert L. Johnson and Kiley Tim Phillips Jr, son-in-law Larry Leggett, brothers Albert Moss, Otis Moss, and sister Beatrice Boswell.
She is survived by daughters Judith Nichols and husband Melvin (Brown) of Kisatchie, LA, and Kathy Leggett of Natchitoches, LA, one son Ralph Johnson and wife Joy of Natchitoches, LA. Stepchildren Linda James and husband Danny of Lufkin, TX, Dolores Cole and husband Philip of Shreveport, LA, Rose Halbrook of Shreveport, LA and Mike Phillips of Powhatan, LA . She also leaves to cherish her memory 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren who were very much loved by her.
While we mourn the loss of our beloved Granny, we rejoice in knowing that she is now perfectly healed and in the presence of her Savior. This is not “goodbye” but merely we will see you in a little while.
