Bratoljub Savic, 86 years of age, passed away on Good Friday, April 03, 2015 at Christus Schumpert Highland Hospital in Shreveport, LA after a brief illness.
Mr. Savic was a native of Belgrande, Yugoslavia. He moved to Akron, OH in 1970 and made his home there until 2007, when he moved to Campti, LA upon his retirement.
He held a degree in Business and Music. He was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple in Akron OH. Mr. Savic worked and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and M.A. Knight Stoneware and Chemical Company, both located in Akron.
In his spare time, he enjoyed gardening, and playing the accordion, violin, and piano.
Mr. Savic was preceded in death by his wife, Eron Ge’Nae Waggoner Savic; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Savic of Cleveland, OH; three sisters; one brother; and his step grandson, Timothy Joseph Anslem of Campti, LA.
He is survived by his stepdaughter, Theresa C. Anslem and husband Troy of Campti, LA; his step grandson, Troy “Ray” Anslem, Jr. and wife Holly of Fairview Alpha, LA; one great granddaughter, Kimberly Addison Anslem; and one great grandson, Colton Riley Anslem.
A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Goldonna Cemetery in Goldonna, LA.
