Charles Robert Cox, 71 years of age, passed away April 10, 2015 at his home in Clarence, LA. He was born April 5, 1944 in Birmingham, AL, and moved to Clarence to live with his daughter later in life. He enjoyed being around people, and was an accomplished bluegrass guitar player. He loved music and sailing, and tried to spend his time fulfilling those passions. He received great enjoyment out of working on computers, which he made his living doing. He loved his family, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter, Tracy Viola and her husband Glenn of Natchitoches, LA; his grandchildren, Cameron Viola, Hannah Viola, and Sakston Stokesberry of Natchitoches, LA; two great grandchildren, Eric Viola and Cutler Viola; his sister, Barbra Cox Jackson of Birmingham, AL; his brother Tim Cox of Birmingham, AL; and many other friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of many years, Sandra Cox; and his son, Chuck Cox.
A memorial service will be held in his honor at a later date.
