Willie Cleo Lewis Johnson, age 95, of Otis, LA, passed away Monday, December 22, 2008, at the hospital in Natchitoches, LA. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, December 25, 2008. The funeral service will be at Calvary Baptist Church in Gardner, LA at 10:00 AM Friday, December 26, 2008 with Rev. Larry Taylor, Rev. Michael McIntosh, Rev. Bernice Dyess, and Rev. V. L. Jarrell officiating. Interment will be at Hemphill Star Cemetery in Gardner, LA. Mrs. Cleo was a devoted wife, loving mother, and wonderful grandmother. Throughout her life as a devoted Christian, she served as a Sunday school teacher for 62 years. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Gardner for forty-four years. She was an avid gardener, and her pride and joy were her roses and day lilies. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Johnson, retired LA State Policeman; her parents, Andrew Franklin Lewis and Mary Molly Frazier Lewis; one sister Marietta Pou; two brothers, Lee Lewis and John Lewis; and one grandson, Eric Thomas Johnson. She is survived by her daughter and son, Shasta Daniels and husband Carroll of Robeline, LA and Dr. Tommy G. Johnson and wife Elizabeth of Natchitoches, LA; five grandchildren, Patrick W. Johnson of Shreveport, LA, Martha Johnson Hubbs and husband Chris of Dallas, TX; Briana Methvin and husband Brent of Lincolnville, KS, Carolyn Skerlong and husband Ray of Monroe, LA, and Cecilia Henderson and husband Paul of Robeline, LA; and eleven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Brent Methvin, Paul Henderson, Bill Morrison, Ray Skerlong, Shane Methvin, and Baron Powers. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyle Methvin and Andrew Skerlong.
