A service to honor the life of Mrs. DeLea Lonadier will be at 10 am Monday, May 18, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Montgomery. Burial will follow at St. Maurice Cemetery under the direction of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 9 pm on Sunday May, 17, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Montgomery.
DeLea Lonadier, 93 years of age, passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 in Lafayette, LA. She was born in Wheeling, LA to Douglas Bullock and Nina Garner Bullock. She was an avid reader and would daily read her Bible. She was a true Christian lady and was very active in her church and Sunday school classes. She was a member of the Eastern Star as well. She loved cooking and always had fresh cayenne pepper ready to season the food. She loved beautiful flowers and her favorite was roses. In her spare time, she would follow family and friends on Facebook so that she could be caught up on all the posts by them. She will be dearly missed by her family, who she deeply loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband James A. “Dock” Lonadier; her parents, Douglas and Nina Bullock; two brothers, Weldon Bullock and D.J. Bullock; a sister, Maxine Warner; a son in law, Paul Brumley; a grandchild, Constance Jeansonne; and a great-great grandchild, Drew Joseph Boswell.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, James A. Lonadier and his wife Kathie of Anacoco, Jean Rhoden and her husband Eugene of Pasadena, TX, David Lonadier and his wife Barbara of Lafayette, Paula Jackson of Montgomery, Janelle Brumley of Montgomery, and Debbie Lonadier of Cheyenne, WY; and a sister, Billie Faye Chandler of Montgomery. She was blessed with 17 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 31 great-great grandchildren.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include: Brad Kerrigan, John Lewis, Chris Brumley, Eugene Rhoden, Matt Rhoden, Jess Courtright, David Koch and Jon Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Harrison, Charles Williams, Reginald Kuhlman, Weldon "Butch" Bullock and Robert Doucet.
