Funeral service for Louene Boatman Sadler will be at 2 pm Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches with Bro. Ralph Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany Cumberland Cemetery near Fairview Alpha, LA. The family will receive friends from 5 pm until 8 pm on Friday, June 19th at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home.
Louene Boatman Sadler, 88 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015 in Natchitoches. Louene worked as a RN for the Natchitoches Parish Hospital and retired with over 30 years of service. She truly had a “green thumb” when it came to gardening, she was so very proud of the many ivy plants she made look so beautiful. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Amy DuBois and husband Dan of Coushatta; sons, Jerry Boatman of Shreveport, Terry Boatman and his wife Leita of Atlanta, TX and Charles Boatman of Blanchard; and a sister Melba Holley of Sarepta. She was blessed with 7 grandchildren: Aaron, James, Chelsea, Jake, Molly, Cassie and Colt; as well as 9 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Giles Boatman and her second husband, John Sadler; as well as her parents, W.J. and Velma (Austin) Walker.
The family would like to extend an appreciative “thanks” to the staff at The Courtyard of Natchitoches for the care given to Louene during such a difficult time.
