Mr. Cloutier, age 86, passed away at his home in Cloutierville on Wednesday, July 8, 2015. For over 43 years George worked as a Merchant Seaman. This gave him the opportunity to travel all over the world. When he would return home he would bring souvenirs and stories of his travels. Some of his favorite places include the countries of Africa and Italy. He loved to fellowship with anyone who would bend their ear. It’s been said that he could “talk your ear off”, but never in an aggressive manner. He was soft-spoken and full of love for friends and family. He adored children and they knew when they came to see him he would have a gift for them. George was a gardener and had an affinity for dogs as well. George is survived by his wife, Jewel Cloutier; his son, Milton Cloutier (Roxanne); daughters, Carmen Pack (Tom), Janice Armstrong (Phillip), and Diane Howe (Giaroud); stepson, Alex LaCour (Margarette); grandchildren, Briana Cloutier, Jason Cloutier, Phillip Armstrong, Jr., Tony Armstrong, Crystal Armstrong, Cedric Green, Kelvin Green, and Leonetta Green; and sister, Alice Eleanor Carter (Dan). He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Florence Meziere Cloutier; his first wife, Beverly Ricard; his stepson, Andy LaCour; his sisters, Madeline Allston, Velma Page, Mary Cora Cloutier, and Catherine Porter; and his brothers, Herman Emery Cloutier, and Joseph Milton Cloutier. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Jason Cloutier, Cedric Green, Kelvin Green, Phillip Armstrong, Antonio Armstrong, and Archie Rachal.
