Loree Shirley

A memorial service for Loree Shirley will be at 2 pm Friday, July 24, 2015 at the Advent Christian Church of Robeline with Robert Carnline officiating. Interment will follow at Lambertown cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time at the church on Friday. Loree Shirley, 91 years of age, passed away Monday, July 20, 2015 in Many, LA. She was born March 24, 1924 to Benjamin and Rosa (Holland) Welch in Natchitoches Parish. Her siblings were Ray Welch of Marshall, TX, Robert Welch of Robeline and Alice Kincaid. She worked for many years for Northwestern State University and ultimately retired as a stenographer 3. She is survived by daughter, Cheryl Byrd and her husband Harvey of Florien; a son, Ken Darrow of Natchitoches; grandchildren, Kevin Broadway of Robeline, Sissy Edwards of Robeline and Vanessa Broadway of Bossier City; and great grandchildren, Alyssa Broadway, Brittany Hayes, Brooke Broadway, Mason Broadway, Blake Broadway, Ashley Edwards, Steven Edwards, and Heather Edwards. Donations may be made to the Lambertown Cemetery fund in Mrs. Loree’s name.
