John Wilfred Rachal

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. John Wilfred Rachal will be at 3 pm Thursday, July 23, 2015 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Isle Brevelle, LA. Rev. Jack Kayala will serve as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Augustine Catholic Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the time of Mass in the Church Hall. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 2 pm in the Church Hall. Will, 78 years of age and a resident of Cypress, LA, passed away July 19, 2015 in Natchitoches. He was born January 2, 1937 in Isle Brevelle, LA to John and Gloria Balthazar Rachal. He proudly served in the United States Army. After completing his duties in the Army, he lived and worked many places around the world but always considered Cane River his home. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his long-time companion and best friend, Lorene Conant; a daughter, Michaella Rachal-Dormand and her husband Steve; sons, Joseph W. Conant and James L. Conant; brother, Herbert Rachal; grandchildren, Danielle Dormand, Michael Dormand, Nicole Dormand and Jamie Dormand; 1st cousin who he loved as a brother, Joseph Balthazar; god children, Constance Conant and Gwendolyn Sylvie and numerous family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter Ruth Ann Conant.
