Don, at the age of 57, received his divine healing from brain cancer at home on Tuesday, July 21, 2015. He was born September 8, 1957 in Natchitoches, LA to John K. Foster Jr. and Geraldine Foster. He moved to Houston, TX as a teenager with his family. Don graduated from Aldine West High School in Houston, TX. Don worked for Schuler & Wohlt Sign Company for many years in TX. In 1978, Don was blessed with a beautiful daughter, Christina Michelle Foster. Even though he hung his hat in Texas, his heart was always at his Grandpa Foster’s farm in Provencal, LA. On May 16, 1996 he married his wife, Cinta, in Houston, TX. They eagerly pursued their dream of living on his Grandpa’s place in Provencal where they have resided for 15 years. Don was a member of the IBEW 194 Local Union out of Shreveport. Don joined the “Camus Family” and truly loved being a Master Electrician and working for Camus Electric. He was a perfectionist and there was only one way to do things…. Don’s way! Don spent most of his career with Camus Electric at International Paper Red River Mill in Campti, LA. Don had a “Prayer Cloth” Ministry and encouraged many in their needs and in the Lord. He was highly respected and an inspiration to many with whom he worked with and always had a joke to share. If he was not your brother in the Union, he was your brother in Christ. In his community, Don always extended his hand out to help anyone in anyway he could, even up until his death. He truly loved his family, church family, neighbors and friends. He was many things to many people. Donald was an overcomer, he was a friend and mentor to many, he loved the outdoors, joking with people, and his motto was “You gotta have a sense of humor”. To his parents, he was a loving and helpful son. To his sister Cindy, he was a little brother she protected in his early years and tried to keep him in line as he grew up. To his wife, he was her Soulmate and Cowboy. He loved teasing and rough housing with his grand babies and great nieces. To his grand babies, he was “Super Pappy” and loved taking them toSunday School, letting them drive the tractor, 4 wheeler, and golf cart. The more he could antagonize them, the more fun they had. His cousins looked up to him as they saw him overcome many obstacles in his life; and, Don became an inspiration to them as he fought his battle with cancer. He went out as a trooper. Donald is survived by his parents John K. Foster Jr. and Geraldine Foster; his sister Cynthia Castleberry and brother-in-law, Dan Castleberry, Sr.; his nephew, Dan Castleberry, Jr.; and his wife, Robyn; three great nieces, Noelle, Jade, and Anniston Castleberry all of Houston, TX. He is survived by his wife of almost 20 years, Jacinta Foster; his stepson, Jeff White and his wife, Misty; grand babies, Shelly, Bailey, Kayla, and Jake, all of Shavertown, PA; his stepdaughter, Jami White DaShiell and her husband, Michael DaShiell; grand babies, Parker and Ryan DaShiell, all of Phoenix, AZ and with many extended family members that loved him very much. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Christina Michelle Foster; his grandparents, Howard and Avery Hall; John K. and Beulah Foster, and his mother-in-law Velma Newell..
