Jacob Flores was born August 26, 1929 and went to meet his Lord and Savior on Friday, February 2009 at Willis-Knighton Medical Center in Shreveport, La. after a courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral service will be held 10 AM Monday, February 9, 2009 in St. Anne Catholic Church with Rev. Antony Aelavanthara officiating. Burial will be in St. Anne Catholic Church Cemetery at Spanish Lake, La. under the direction of Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home of Natchitoches, La. Visitation will be Sunday, February 8, 2009 from 5 PM until 9 PM with a Rosary at 6:30 PM and visitation on Monday, February 9, 2009 from 8 AM until 9 AM in the funeral home.
He was a native of Spanish Lake, La. He was a retired carpenter and a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.
The family would like to thank the people of Spanish Lake Community, his friends and relatives for being so caring. He was preceded in death by his wife; Loyce Merle Gorham Flores; parents, Benny Flores and Corine Bustamento Flores; three sisters, Katie Grace, Mollie Solice, and Jewel Flores; four brothers, Lee Flores, David Flores, Luther Flores, and Raymond Flores.
He is survived by his three daughters, Debra Roberts and husband Gene and Linda Hill and husband Robert all of De Berry, Tx. and Rhonda Flores and husband Don of Robeline, La.; one son, John Singer, Jr. of Robeline, La.; ten grandchildren, Kim Murphy and husband Dennnis of Haughton, La., Sherry Hazarda and husband Danny of Bossier City, La., Christopher Davis of Bossier City, La., Michael Davis and wife Jenny of De Berry, Tx., Gregory Carrizal, Jr. and wife Jennifer of Marthaville, La., John Singer, III of Shreveport, La., Andrea Singer of Robeline, La., Laura Teddlie of Many, La., Julie Flores of Robeline, La., D. H. Flores, Jr. and wife Christy of Marthaville, La.; twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Reed Flores of Natchitoches, La. and Sammy Flores of Denham Springs, La.
Pallbearers will be Gregory Carrizal, Jr, John Singer III, Michael Davis, Christopher Davis, D. H. Flores, Jr., and Dazzmar Alexander.
