It is said that when a child is born the Angels sing. The celebration when a child of God comes home must be incredible! On Sunday August 2, 2015 the angels in heaven shared that celebration
with Shirley Jane Fletcher when she was called home to be with her Lord and Savior.
Mrs. Fletcher was a simple woman from a simple time in life. Her family was her heart and the source of her greatest joy. She loved her children, her grandchildren and her great grandchildren with all
of her being. Whether she was making quilts and prayer books for new babies or cooking Thanksgiving dinner for all that were blessed to be at her table, she was the center of family life.
Shirley loved being outdoors, enjoying nature and all the wonders God has given to us all. Her family’s memories will include camping trips and fishing adventures. There was never a bad day along a river bank as far as she was concerned. She also enjoyed a good game of dominoes with family and friends. Her infectious laugh was the highlight of many of the games.
Shirley Jane Fletcher will be remembered by her family with love and laughter. The book of Proverbs tells us that a righteous woman is more valuable than rubies. Shirley was that woman and her children will arise and call her blessed. We will all rejoice when we meet again.
