Sarah Erdean Kerby, 83 years of age, passed away August 6, 2015. Sarah was born August 3, 1932 in Barley, AR. Devoted, loving, caring, and strong-willed; these are just a few words that could be used to describe Sarah. She was a faithful and loving wife to her husband, and a caring and supportive mother to her children. Her main love in life was Christ, and she wanted His love and mercy to shine through her. She was the middle child of ten children, and suffered great loss at the death of her twin earlier on in her life. But through times of trials and times of rest, her faith remained strong in God, and she always testified to His love. She loved like no other, and could be said that she fulfilled I Corinthians 13 completely. She was a virtuous woman, as written by Solomon in Proverbs 31. It was as if he was writing of her. She was unselfish, kind, and always had a servant’s heart. She took great pride in her children's accomplishments, and will be forever missed by all who knew her. She is survived by three sons, Larry Lee Kerby and wife Arlene of Coushatta, LA, Gary Lee Kerby of Coushatta, LA; and Melvin Eugene (Pokie) Kerby and wife Hope of Natchitoches, LA; two daughters, Wanda Celeste Burr of Coushatta, LA and Susan Bamburg and her husband Brannon of Coushatta, LA; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-six great grandchildren; and two sisters, Jolene Duvall of Barling, AR and Wanda Graham of Lavaca, AR. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Malcom Taff and Gertrude Ashford Taff; her husband Lee Kerby; her daughters, Michelle Irene Kerby and Julia Dawn Kerby; her brothers, J.C. Taff, Verlon Taff, Scott Taff, Waylon Taff, her twin, Warren Eugene Taff, and Malcolm Taff; and one sister, Joyce Moore. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Jason Edwards, Nathan Kerby, Joshua Kerby, Adam Kerby, Gabriel Kerby, Mathew Kerby, and John Burr. Jeremy Burr will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
