Aubrey Powell, 82 years of age, was born January 10, 1933 (or according to him, February 10) in Natchitoches, LA and passed away August 15, 2015 in Mansfield, LA. He was a devoted family man, a loving husband, and loving father. "Nook" had a heart for helping others; and if anyone visited his home, they could expect a cup of coffee, whether they wanted it or not, a game of Rook or Dominoes, and a great conversation. He was a hard worker, spending his entire adult life in the logging woods, until he was unable to work any longer. He was a Master Mason and Shriner, and was a member of the Robeline Masonic Lodge #344. He lost his battle with Alzheimer's, but during it all, he never lost his love for his family, or the memory of his precious wife. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his two daughters, Tammy Powell Wyatt and her husband Marvin of Flora, LA and Julie Powell and her husband Craig of Natchitoches, LA; his son, Kevin Powell and his wife, Kaycee of Provencal, LA; nine grandchildren, Matthew Wyatt and his wife Star, Zachary Wyatt and his wife Megan, Kristen LaTour and her husband Clayton, Shane Bell, Trevor O'Bannon, Emily Dahl and her husband Matthew, Devin Hicks, Erin Powell, and Hayden Powell; ten great grandchildren; one brother, Bill Powell and his wife Betty Mae of Marthaville, LA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Faye Broadway Powell; his parents, Shelton and Lelia Potter Powell; two sisters, Pearl Richardson and Odessa Powell; and two brothers, Jesse Powell and Melton Powell. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Shane Bell, Matthew Wyatt, Zachary Wyatt, Matthew Dahl, Ricky Broadway, and Kenny Turnley. Honorary pallbearers include Trevor O'Bannon, Jay LaTour and the Robeline Masonic Lodge #344 brothers.
