Carolyn Ensinger

Carolyn Sue Shoemaker Ensinger, born February 23, 1951 in Robeline, LA, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 18, 2015. A homegoing service to celebrate her life will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Hickory Grove Congregational Methodist Church in Robeline, LA with the Reverends Brian Jennings, Jonathan Leach and T.J. Boyd officiating. The family will receive friends at Hickory Grove Congregational Methodist Church beginning at 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 20, 2015 until service time on Friday. Interment will follow at Lambert Town Cemetery in Robeline, LA. Carolyn loved her family and friends and her most cherished times were those spent with her family. Carolyn was an active member of Hickory Grove Congregational Methodist Church who enjoyed family vacations, fishing and drinking coffee. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Luther and Lizzie Carnline Shoemaker; one brother, Charles Raymond Shoemaker; and one nephew, Shad DeLane Taylor. She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Oscar W. Ensinger of Natchitoches, LA; one son, Kevin W. Ensinger of Natchitoches, LA; one daughter, Brandy Ensinger Warren and husband, Jason of Robeline, LA; four brothers, Clyde Shoemaker, Bobby Shoemaker, and Clifford Shoemaker all of Robeline, LA, and Kenneth W. Shoemaker and wife Sarah of Natchitoches, LA; one sister, Ruthie Lee Shoemaker Taylor of Robeline, LA; three grandchildren, Shannon Warren, Grace Warren and Rayleigh Warren all of Robeline, LA; two Aunts, Ellen Lewis of Carencro, LA and Esther Campbell and husband Troy of Belmont, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Those honored to serve as Pallbearers are Greg Armond, Derek Campbell, Albert Wayne Carnline, Toby Carnline, Doug Ensinger, Kerry Rawls, James Dale Shoemaker, and Terry Shoemaker. Honorary Pallbearers are Jerry Ray Carnline, Bobby Chester, Ivan Ensinger, Jr., and Max Ensinger. The family wishes to express their sincerest gratitude to the doctors and nurses of University Health in Shreveport for their kindness and care.
