Patricia "Pat" Williams Ferrier

Funeral services for Patricia “Pat” Williams Ferrier will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Fountain of Life U.P.C. in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. James Whitehead, Rev. Paul Grace, and Rev. Matthew Pagels officiating. Interment will follow at Roberts Cemetery in Provencal, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on August 22, 2015 at Fountain of Life U.P.C. in Natchitoches, LA. Pat Ferrier, 71 years of age, was born August 22, 1943 and passed away August 18, 2015. Pat was kind. She was compassionate. She was strong. She was humble. There are many wonderful things that could be said about her, how sweet she was, how loyal, how faithful. But she would never say those things of herself. She lived a simple life; a life of meekness. She would only want one thing to be said of her. She loved God. Pat devoted her entire life to spreading the love of God; whether it was faithfully attending her church; praying for her family, friends, and even strangers; or volunteering her time at the hospital as a Pink Lady. She loved God! She would never pass judgment or say a harsh word towards anyone. She and her late husband Al were known around Natchitoches for owning Ferrier’s Sea Food, a fish market on Texas Street, for over 20 years. She worked hard there and helped make a living for her family. Although she is gone from this world, she will never be gone from our hearts. What a day she is having today! She is survived by her four children, Teresa Ferrier Cox and husband Mike Cox of Hagewood, LA, and Tracie Ferrier Trichel and husband Ottis Trichel of Hagewood, LA, Steven Lane Ferrier and wife Cheryl S. Ferrier of Gretna, LA, Alfous Glenn Ferrier, Jr. and wife Pamela S. Ferrier of Jacksonville, FL; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, M.C. Williams and his wife Doris of Provencal, LA and Preston Williams and his wife Pattie of Carrollton, GA; one sister, Betty Jean Jordan and her husband Sherman of Provencal, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfous “Al” Ferrier; her son, Jonathan Keith Ferrier; one grandson, Adam Nathaniel Ferrier; her parents, Louis Dewitt Williams and Lillian Arnold Williams; and one sister, Alma Pittman.
