Mrs. Willy Sibley (Bill) Brumfield, 95 years of age, went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on August 31, 2015 in The Woodlands, TX.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend the funeral service at Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 11:00 am with Dr. John Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro Cemetery, Jonesboro, LA. Visitation will begin at 9 am on Saturday the 5th and last until time of service.
Mrs. Brumfield was born, raised and educated in Natchitoches. She graduated from Louisiana Normal College, today known as Northwestern State University, in 1941 with a degree in education. She was a school teacher for 40 years in the state of Louisiana. Although she made Louisiana her home for many years, she recently was a resident of The Woodlands, TX.
Mrs. Brumfield was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church in Natchitoches.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Kenneth Mosely Brumfield, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Rosemary Brumfield; parents, William Oscar Sibley and Mattie Wiggins Sibley; a brother, Titus Sibley; and sisters, Faye Frye and her twin, Willa Collins.
She is survived by her children, Kenneth Jr. and his wife Myrtis; Charles and Victor and his wife Gabrielle. She was blessed with five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She will be forever loved and missed by all who knew her.
