Funeral services for May Rose LaCour will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, September 21, 2015 at St. Anthony of Pudua Catholic Church in Natchitoches, LA with Fr. John O'Brien officiating. Interment will follow at St. Augustine Catholic Cemetery in Melrose, LA. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until 11:00 am with a recitation of the Rosary at 10:30 am on September 21, 2015 at St. Anthony of Pudua Catholic Church in Natchitoches, LA.
May Rose LaCour, 93 years of age, passed away September 16, 2015. She was born June 2, 1922 in Natchitoches, LA. She was a loving and caring person, who loved to spend time with her family and take care of her nieces and nephews. She worked at St. Mary's School for many years, until she retired to take care of her mother. She was a hard worker all of her life, from the time she was a little girl working on the family farm until her retirement. She was a lifelong resident of Natchitoches Parish. May Rose was a great cook as well. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by one sister, Addie Roque and her husband Frances of Natchitoches, LA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jake LaCour and Addie Balthazar LaCour; five sisters, Madeline LaCour, Etheline Rachal Llorence, Bonnie Coutee, Regina Freeman, and her twin sister, Flay Rose Balthazar; and two brothers, Ernest LaCour and Jake LaCour, Jr.
