A Mass of Christian burial for Samuel John LaCour, Sr. will be Monday, September 28, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Cloutierville, LA. A visitation will proceed the Mass from 9:30 am until 11:00 am at St. John the Baptist Church in Cloutierville, LA. Interment will follow at Cloutierville Catholic Cemetery in Cloutierville, LA. Samuel John LaCour, Sr., 75 years of age and a resident of Natchitoches, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in Shreveport, LA. He was born May 26, 1940 to Alphonse and Josephine LaCour in Cloutierville, LA. He was a life long resident of Natchitoches Parish. Sam was a very hard working man that worked many years in the construction field as a bulldozer operator. He was often labeled as one of the best in the business. During his later years he loved being outdoors and repairing small engines for himself as well as others. One of his favorite things to do was sit under his tree and visit with his family and friends. He spent a lot of his time with his grandchildren and was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and uncle. Sam will be greatly missed. Those left to cherish his memory include his sons, Samuel John LaCour, Jr. (Nikki) of Austin, Texas, Craig LaCour (Debra) of Natchitoches, Samantha LaCour (John) of Natchitoches, Rosalyn LaCour of Natchitioches; brothers, Hyman LaCour (Elsie) of Natchitoches; sisters, Annie Mae Guillory (Harold) of Devers, Texas, Marie LaCour of Natchitoches, Dianne LaCour of Natchitoches; grandchildren, Brandon LaCour, Quintin Raggio, Taylor LaCour, Caitlyn LaCour, Madison LaCour, Caden LaCour, Lakin LaCour, Hope LaCour, Jordan LaCour, Breelyn Hamilton, Jace LaCour, John Newson; great grandchildren, Bryce Hill, Carter LaCour, Addisyn LaCour-Kirkland and numerous loving nephews and nieces. He was proceeded in death by his parents, brother, Alphonse LaCour, Jr.,(DeeDee), and sister, Estelle LaCour
