Funeral services for Marjorie Elaine Barbo Dowden will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Rev. John Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm on October 22, 2015 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. Margie Dowden, 87 years of age, passed away October 20, 2015 in Baton Rouge, LA. She was born August 28, 1928 in Coushatta, LA. She is survived by her three children, Bobbie Lynn Dowden Deloney; Kenneth Wayne Dowden and his wife Myra, and Barbara Ann Dowden Aulds and her husband Kerry; six grandchildren, Tinah Deloney, Stacie Roberson and her husband, Chad, Kimberly Palacious and her husband Felipe, Emily Dowden, Angela Speir, and Alaina Glover; thirteen great grandchildren; one brother, Ronald Barbo; and one sister; Dollie Faye Honeycutt. She is preceded in death by her husband, Earnest Monroe Dowden; her parents, Joseph Burton Barbo and Bessie Elaine Allums Barbo; her grandchildren, Jennifer Deloney and Melissa Dowden; her son-in-law, Joseph Douglas Deloney; three sisters, Marilyn Rachal, Billie Marie Hawthorne, and Ora Lee Barbo; and one brother, Donald Barbo.
