Delores Mosley Rhodes, age 47, of Campti, LA, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2009, at her home in Campti, LA. Arrangements are being handled by Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM Friday, March 20, 2009. The funeral service will be at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home at 2:00 PM Saturday, March 21, 2009, with Rev. Dan Chance officiating. Interment will be at L. C. Weaver Memorial Cemetery in Campti, LA.
Ms. Rhodes was first diagnosed with “Sarcoma Cancer” in July 2005. She will always be remembered for her courage, strength, and faith. Her passions were deer hunting and deep sea fishing. She was “Mama Dee” to some, “Aunt Dee” to others, and “DooDee” to one other. Those who knew her were very blessed, as she touched so many lives.
She was survived by her father and step-mother, Billy Mosley and Patricia of Campti, LA; her mother, Audrey Nash Parrish of Bronson, TX; her grandmother, Dovie Stanley of Lufkin, TX; four sisters, Kathy Mosley of Campti, LA, Charlotte Sanders of Chesapeake, VA, Beverly Morgan of Silsbee, TX, and Tammy Thurber of Buna, TX; five brothers, Billy Mosley, Jr. of Campti, LA, Calvin Mosley of Lufkin, TX, James Parrish of Nacogdoches, TX, Robert Parrish of Bronson, TX, and Larry Parrish of Bronson, TX.
Pallbearers will be Billy Mosley, Jr., Andy Rhodes, Cameron Rhodes, Terry Hardy, Troy Gooden, and Pat Hall.
John Smith will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
The family would like to thank Pastor Dan Chance and Sister Linda and all their friends and family at Family Worship Center for their devoted prayers and support. Thanks to all else who have prayed and offered support and love.
