Funeral service for Lurline Dove Cox will be at 10 am Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home with Rev. Carroll Marr officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Lawn Cemetery of Natchitoches. The family will receive friends from 9 am until service time on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home. Lurline Cox, 94 years of age, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2015 in Natchitoches. She was born on June 22, 1921 to Rosco Dove and Gladys Mae (Place) Dove in Natchitoches Parish. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Charles “C.C.” Cox. Lurline was a devout Christian lady who loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a long time member of Calvary Baptist Church and was especially active with her Sunday School Class. For many years she was a member of the Eastern Star in Natchitoches. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Shirley Cox Fair and her husband Rex of Natchitoches; her grandchildren, Tanya Fair Marr and husband Carroll of Ft. Worth, TX, Darla Webb and husband Mike of Natchitoches, Kip Fair and wife Brooke of Natchitoches, Cade Cox of Washington; and her brother, Glenn Dove of Natchitoches. She was blessed with 8 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
