Funeral services for Albert Riegel will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 6, 2015 at St. Maurice United Methodist Church in St. Maurice, LA. Interment will follow at Couley Methodist Cemetery near Winnfield, LA. The family will receive friends from 11 am until 2 pm on December 6, 2015 at St. Maurice United Methodist Church. Albert Riegel, 91 years of age, passed away December 1, 2015. He was born November 18, 1924 to Sophie and Jacob Riegel in Longmont, CO. He received his education from Colorado State University. He was a patriot and veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was stationed in the Pacific. He was a member of the Gideon's International in Natchitoches, LA, and was very passionate about the Boy Scouts of America, where he retired as an executive after 28 years of service in 1987. He was an outgoing and generous man, was passionate about scouting, and was quite a craftsman. He was very talented. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 57 years, Essie Mae Little Riegel; one daughter; one granddaughter; and one great grandson. He is also survived and cherished by a host of nieces and nephews.
