Funeral services for Jimmy Glynn Cardozier will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA with Father Charles Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Montgomery, LA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm on January 1, 2016 at Blanchard - St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, LA. A recitation of the Rosary will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday prior to the services. Jimmy G. Cardozier, 70 years of age, and long-time resident of Houma, LA, passed away December 29, 2015. He was born August 21, 1945 in Winnfield, LA. He was a fun-loving and compassionate person. He had a huge heart, and would help anyone in need that he could. Jimmy was very social and was a loyal friend. He lived life to the fullest, and had a special love for his LSU Tigers. He has held season tickets for them since 1998, and was an avid collector of all things LSU. He was his loving wife Rita's "soul-mate", and loved his children and grandchildren immensely. He was a long time member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Melrose, LA. Jimmy was larger than life, and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Rita Fuller Cardozier of Houma, LA; his three daughters, Theresa Brossette of Montrose, LA, Jinny Cardozier of Campti, LA, and Kara Meloncon and husband Kasey of Breaux Bridge, LA; five grandchildren, Destiny, Mason, Madison, Dalton, and Gabi; his sister, Charlotte Cardozier Moore of Montgomery, LA; his niece, Kahnya Moore Paddie and her children, Kole and Kasey Paddie; a special "sister", Gwen Hinds and her husband Patrick of Bossier City, LA; and his godchild, Hanna Watkins of Montrose, LA He was preceded in death by his parents, James Ogelton Cardozier and Corina Myers Cardozier; his brother-in-law, Billy Ray Moore; and his mother-in-law, Theresa Fuller. Those honored to serve as pallbearers will be Kole Paddie, Kasey Paddie, Chad Fuller, Kasey Meloncon, Kevin Meloncon, and Thomas Watkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Keenan Kelly, Don Kelly, Bill Townsend, Carroll Poche, Henry Llorence, Gerald Teddlie, Mark Dufour, Sidney Fuller, and Greg Fuller.
