Funeral services for Bobbie Martin Dove Valdez will be held at Blanchard St. Denis Funeral Home in Natchitoches, Louisiana on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 1:00 PM with the Reverend Billy Martin and Reverend Vernese Greene officiating. Graveside services will be conducted by Reverend Elmer Hickman at Memory Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives from 5:00 PM to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at Blanchard St.Denis Funeral Home. Bobbie Martin Dove Valdez passed from this life on February 8, 2016 in Coushatta, Louisiana. Bobbie was born on May 20, 1934 in Rayville, Louisiana to Ed Martin and Lula Noble Martin. She was a resident of Natchitoches for 40 years and at the time of her death resided in Red River Parish. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Waymon W. Dove; her parents; nine brothers, Hershel (Son) Martin, Leon Martin, Guy Martin, James (Man) Martin, Eddie Martin, Ernest (Johnny) Martin, Earl (Pig) Martin, Huey (Little) Martin and George Martin; three sisters, Danna Martin Robinette, Louise Myers and Ella Mae Hickman; and one grandson, Steely Dove. Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 25 years, Jack Valdez of Hall Summit, La; three sons, Ronald Dove and wife Connie of Charlotte, NC, Roger Dove and wife Theresa of Baton Rouge, LA, and Malcolm Dove and wife Laura of Harrison, AR; two daughters, Cindy Kirkland and partner Rita Carlisle of Atlanta, GA. and Pamela Dove Frame and husband Wayne of Natchitoches, LA; and 11 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Honored to serve as Pallbearers are her nephews, Yancy Martin, Wesley Martin, Jimmy Martin, Tim Stinson, Rocky Curry and Dale Martin. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Martin, Earl Martin Jr., Harold Edward Martin, and James Floyd Martin. The family of Mrs. Valdez would like to thank Dr. Martin Carter and entire staff that helped to take such great care of here while in Christus Coushatta Hospital.
