Francis Roque, Jr.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Francis Roque, Jr. will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Isle Brevelle, LA with Rev. Charlie Ray serving as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Augustine Catholic Church Cemetery in Melrose, LA. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 10:30 am. Francis Roque, Jr., 87 years of age, passed away February 6, 2016. Francis was born September 7, 1928 to the late Francis Roque, Sr. and Maude Metoyer Roque in Natchitoches, LA. For 22 years he was a resident of Chicago, IL and moved back to Natchitoches to retire. He was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Natchitoches. He will be dearly missed by his family. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Mary LaCour Roque of Natchitoches, LA; son, Steven Roque; daughter, Denise Zavala both of Natchitoches, LA; sisters, Shirley LaCour and Alice Mae LaCour of Chicago, IL; grandchildren, Nicole, Tamara, Ayesha, Darius, Jonathan, Kimberly, Stevie, Gabriella, and Kristina; as well as 13 great grandchildren.
